Carolyn has over 12 years of elementary education experience in Title 1 schools as a classroom teacher, team leader, and instructional coach. Early education is her passion as she spent 8 years as a first-grade teacher and as a kindergarten teacher creating a stimulating, encouraging, and collaborative classroom to accommodate the needs of all students. As a classroom teacher and instructional coach, she demonstrated the ability to consistently individualize instruction, based on students’ needs and interests. During her time as a classroom teacher, she wrote a science curriculum for both kindergarten and first grade which focused on the integration of technology in the classroom.

During her time as an instructional coach, she mentored many teachers, provided professional development, and focused on data to drive instruction. Finally, Carolyn fostered meaningful relationships with students, staff, and parents alike which ultimately translated to student success in the classroom.
