Literacy and Procurement Consultant
As an elementary classroom teacher for thirteen years, Katie created and developed forward-thinking curricula that promoted positive learning experiences as well as academic growth. She also regularly collaborated with a cross-functional teaching team across all subject areas to address the diverse learning needs of all students, using data to drive decision-making to best meet students’ needs.
Katie also served on the Instructional Leadership Team and as a grade-level leader to inform program planning with regard to professional development and school-wide data and management plans. Additionally, she served as the co-chair of the school literacy committee, established and managed an after-school program assisting students with low performance in math, and developed and led a mathematics program with a special education teacher to address alternative curriculum and specialized needs. She is excited to bring her unique skill set to RYE.
