Lauren Keszeg, M.A.T.

Operations and writing Consultant

Lauren brings to RYE a deep level of classroom knowledge and how to ensure environments are inclusive to all learners. She offers a unique perspective on education with more than seven years of experience in a Title 1 classroom, including virtual, in-person, and mixed modalities understanding the needs of EdTech products and their users to flexible implement solutions. These experiences provide RYE clients an additional lens of interoperability when assessing today's growing education market.

Her passion for children and her special education expertise and study made her classroom a vibrant place for all learners to thrive. During Lauren's time in the classroom, a quarter of her students had varying levels of developmental and behavioral needs. Lauren collaborated and implemented a co-teaching model with special education, ESOL, and EIP teachers to ensure all students had the opportunity to succeed in an inclusive setting. Her classroom favored success for students with special needs as she implemented specialized behavior supports that challenged and brought confidence to her students personally and academically. To help, Lauren is trained in Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) and Professional Learning Communities (PLC), using formative data and evidence-based strategies to meet her students' needs further. She has also led district-level curriculum development for science, including cross-curricular integration. She is most driven by knowing the whole child, academically, socially, and emotionally, to help them thrive in the classroom and among their peers.

Lauren recently taught a virtual class of over 30 4th-grade students. She implemented progressive ways to support all students through a diverse range of accommodations and modifications. Her experience in in-person and virtual settings offers a specialized perspective for multiple ways to support student learning through educational technology and family support. In the virtual classroom, Lauren consistently collaborated with families to understand their child's development and guide them to success. Uniquely, she found a deeper connection to families through the constant interaction that virtual learning inadvertently offered. Overall, Lauren's classroom experience, knowledge of evidence-based interventions, and dedication to family involvement make her a valuable asset to RYE consulting as she provides insight into the successful implementation of various educational products and services.
