Grade Level: Early Childhood Education
The purpose of this project is to identify the optimal locations for new classrooms in Wayne County by analyzing demographic data to understand where children ages 0 – 5 live and identify areas with the greatest needs. The project aims to support educational planning and resource allocation to ensure equitable access to early childhood education through the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP).
Objectives:
1. Demographic Analysis: To analyze the distribution of children ages 0 – 5 across Wayne county.
2. Needs Assessment: To identify areas with the highest needs based on socio-economic factors, access to existing educational facilities, and other relevant indicators.
3. Mapping and Visualization: To create detailed maps and visualizations that highlight areas with the highest concentrations of young children and those with the greatest needs.
4. Recommendations: To provide data-driven recommendations for the ideal locations of new classrooms.
