LAUSD BSAP: Professional Development

2000002650 Build School Leadership Capacity & Coherence

Grade Level: K-12

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Black Student Achievement Program (BSAP) seeks comprehensive proposals from qualified firms to establish a roster of qualified firms to provide professional services. The Black Student Achievement Plan (BSAP) Professional Development should be aligned to the BSAP 16 indicators.

The Black Student Achievement Plan addresses the need for a Culturally Responsive Curriculum, engaging culturally relevant classroom instruction, effective classroom management strategies, and transformational professional development for school site personnel. It also aims to address the academic and social-emotional needs of the Black student and address the disparities in student discipline.

Community Partnerships Grant: Each Community of Schools for Black Student Achievement Plan Group 1 and Group 2 schools receive partnership allocations based on their Black student total count. Partnership opportunities may include but are not limited to the following: Internships, Career Mentoring, Job Training Externships, Parent Education, Academic Intervention, Job-shadowing, Social-Emotional Support, and Academic Enrichment.

RYE Note: Community partnerships will occur during the 22-23’ school years with two (2) one-year renewal options. Days and times will be tailored to meet individual school site needs.
