RFP# Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Professional Development for Faculty and Staff
Grade Level: K-12 Faculty and Staff
The planned Professional Development (PD) activities must ensure that faculty and staff are equipped with training/ support on the following topics:
SEL and support for students that have suffered trauma during the COVID-19 pandemic
Identify signs of possible mental health issues and providing culturally relevant support
Motivate students that have been disengaged
Mentoring students who have attendance issues before it becomes a problem
Self-care and mindfulness strategies for teachers
Engaging and communicating effectively with parents
Working with community agencies to address non-academic needs
RYE Note: SCSD will use ARP ESSER set aside funding to secure an educational entity/ consultant(s) to provide PD for faculty and staff during the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school year
