23-003 Supplementary Computer Software Program for Bilingual and English as Second Language (ESL) Students

Grade Level: K-12

The Bridgeton Board of Education is seeking a company to provide a systematic blended model program designed to address the needs of English as a Second Language students learning to read in English, as well as Bilingual students learning to read in Spanish. The program must address the New Jersey Learning Standards and provide for differentiated instruction for students functioning on different academic levels.

The program must be effective in the “Four Domains of Language”, and emphasize the following components:
a) Reading Comprehension
b) Interpretation Skills
c) Making Connections
d) Writing
e) Phonemic and Phonological Awareness
f) Vocabulary Development
g) Text Fluency

The program should provide teachers with additional resources, which would improve differentiated instruction for students functioning on different academic levels.

The program must be based on current scientific research, Common Core Standards, New Jersey Learning Standards.

RYE Note: The term of the contract shall be for a period of one school year, with the Board's option for two (2) one (1) year extensions.
