Providence Schools is seeking Social Studies K-12 materials that are engaging, consistently promote critical thinking skills and are culturally responsive for our diverse student populations. These curricular materials should also be aligned to Common Core Standards and RI Social Studies Standards - GSE’s, including Civics, Economics and Geography standards. The District is seeking both paper-based and digital resources that will develop student practice with 21st Century skills and experiential learning. There should also be adapted core materials that can help meet the needs of Multilingual Learners, students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and students who are enrolled in advanced academics programs or who are gifted and talented in academic work.
